Tracheostomy

 Tracheostomy patients need assistance to mobilize secretions. In addition, many patients may have conditions that predispose them to stagnation and Humidifiers and Nebulizers are recommended. Patients and/or caregivers must remain diligent to providing routine suctioning and cleaning of the Tracheostomy to both remove secretions and prevent infections.
